If your child plays a sport that requires a mouthguard, it is still very important to have a properly fitting mouthguard during the orthodontic braces or clear aligner treatment to minimise the risk of trauma to the teeth.
At Noranda Orthodontics, an impression is taken and a custom fitted mouthguard is supplied as part of the braces or clear aligner treatment. These custom mouthguards take our lab approximately 1 week to make and can be fabricated in a number of colours. Dr Trudy and the Noranda Orthodontic team will show you how to take care of your mouthguard and how to place and remove the mouthguard with your braces or clear aligner attachments.
